SUMMER HAS ARRIVED!!

AT LAST the sun has arrived at North Norfolk! The last few days have been amazing on the water, the sun seems to cheer everyone up and lift everyone’s mood. The passengers have been really pleased with the amount of seals we are seeing at the moment (on average 200 per trip) also the Terns have been putting on a great show, diving in the water catching whitebait and sand eels, with nearly all the young ones now on the wing there is somewhere around 16000 terns on Blakeney Point at the moment.

We are still waiting for some common seal pups, should be anytime now! The young Grey seals (born last nov/dec) are really fun popping up around the boats, they are really curious! probably the most photographed animals around at the moment!!

The harbour is bustling with pleasure boats  as soon as the tide comes in! Its great to see lots of the boats actually leaving their moorings at last after being tied up for what seems like ever with the grim weather we have been having for most of the season so far!

Lets hope this sunny weather will last. Its really good it has started with the school hols! I can’t keep my two out of the water at the moment! Wells carnival starts Friday, Langham Street Fair on Saturday so plenty to do this weekend!

Hope you can come and see the seals at birds for yourself, please remember to Phone and reserve your seats as it is very busy during the holidays, Look forward to seeing you.
